Music notation conventions
Rhythm values, counting systems, meter, rests, flags, beams, and standard engraving conventions are functional systems and common musical facts. Rhythm Repper uses original code and wording to teach and render those conventions.
“Eastman” identifies the Eastman counting convention. Takadimi is a beat-oriented rhythm-pedagogy system developed in the 1990s at Ithaca College by Richard Hoffman, William Pelto, and John W. White. These names identify the teaching systems; Rhythm Repper is independent and is not endorsed by their creators or institutions.
Licensed components
Notation is rendered with VexFlow 5 under the MIT License and the Bravura music font under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Both licenses permit this use when their notices and conditions are preserved.
